Important Facts / FAQ / Did You Know?
“Why are beeswax candles superior to the other types of candles made of petroleum based products?”
Beeswax candles do not melt (they burn), do not release toxic chemicals in the air, do not drip and, do not release smoke. Beeswax is a completely natural product.
“Can you make other colors than the ones available in store?”
Yes we can! Just reach out to us directly with your requested color.
“I am looking for a candle for a so and so occasion. Can you create such a thing? Do you have anything close?”
Maybe! Not everything we are able to create is on our website as we are not actively trying to sell using this website. Just reach out to us directly with the details of your inquiry.
“How do you create such beautiful candles?”
Without giving away our secrets, we have over 40 years working in the honey and wax industry and through that kind of experience you learn a thing or two. 🙂
“I am really impressed with the colors and the variety of your candles. Can you teach us how to make them ourselves?”
I am sorry, but the answer is no. We are in the business of showing off and selling our beautiful candles, not in creating more competition for ourselves.
“Are you located on any social media? Can I follow you?”
Absolutely! We are on Facebook and also looking up some of the other platforms.
Our candles are made with 100% Beeswax; for coloured candles we use special dyes that will not make the candle drip or melt.
Since all our candles are handmade, those that are a blend of different colors (example.. Teepees), we cannot guarantee that they will be identical to each other.
Candles that are not burnt within a few months or are kept in cold conditions will develop a dusty whitish film called “bloom”. Not only is the bloom harmless, it actually indicates the 100% purity of the beeswax. This is completely normal and can be removed by blowing hot air from a hair dryer.
The burning time of a candle can be extended by keeping the candle in a cold environment (freezer) for one hour before being lit. It’s also recommended to keep the candle away from air drafts and warmed air, including sources such as fireplaces.
Since beeswax is flammable, we don’t take any responsibilities for accidents or fires caused by the improper use of our products. It is the sole responsibility of the client to ensure safe use of the candle.
Only Natural beeswax preserves the natural smell of the flowers. Bleached wax being chemically treated does not smell exactly like the Natural beeswax.
